THE SUDENT’S ABILITY IN CORRECTING THE SYNTACTICAL ERROR IN RECOUNT TEXT AT MA. MANSYAUL ULUM SANA DAJA

This research was intended to describe the MA. Mansyaul Ulum Sana Daja, the student’s ability in correcting the syntactical error in recount text. The problem of the research is “To what extent is the student’s ability in correcting the syntactical error in recount text. The problem is formulated base on the consideration that foreign language learners frequently make syntactical errors. The syntactical errors here are limited to the misuse of article, the misuse of preposition, the disagreement of subject and verb and the misplace of word orders in the sentences. This research was conducted at MA. Mansyaul Ulum Sana Daja Pasean. The respondent the second years students with the number of 15 students. They were taken by using proportional random sampling. The primary data were called by using structure test, and analyzed by using descriptive qualitative. Te results showed that the student’s abilities of correcting the misuse of articles was 93, 3%, correcting the misuse of the disagreement of subject and verb was 88% consists Very Good, correcting the misuse of prepositions was 86% or Good, and the misplaces of word orders was 68%.or more than enough. So on the overage, the students’ ability of correcting the syntactical errors in recount text was 84% or Good. The categories of the students’ abilities were as follow: Very good was 20%, Good 76,3%. And Mort than Enough.
