CORRELATION STUDY BETWEEN THE DEMONSTRATION METHOD WITH THE STUDENTS' ENGLISH SPEAKING ACHIEVEMENT OF VII GRADE AT MTS NURULHUDA PAKANDANGAN

The learning by demonstration method is an attempt or practice by using the demonstration that in aimed at students whose goal is to make all students more easily understand and practice of what has been obtained and can overcome problems if there is a difference. Teaching methods with the demonstration method to clarify the meaning or to show how the passage of a certain formation processes in students. In practice it can be done by the teacher or the student their self. Demonstration method is quite good when used in the delivery of teaching English materials, for example in speech and other.
Based on the background of the above problems, can be formulated the problem of study in question form as follows : do students' of VII grade at MTs Nurulhuda Pakandangan taught using the demonstration method have good English speaking achievement and how much is a correlation study between the demonstration method with the students' English speaking achievement of VII grade at MTs Nurulhuda Pakandangan. based on the above formulation of the problem can be stated that the purpose of this study to measure the correlation between the demonstration method with the students' English speaking achievement of VII grade at MTs Nurulhuda Pakandangan and to find how much is a correlation study between the demonstration method with the students' English speaking achievement of VII grade at MTs Nurulhuda Pakandangan.
The population in this research were 37 students of VII grade at MTs. Nurulhuda Pakandangan academic year 2011/2012. The researcher uses three instruments in this research are questionnaire, documentation and observation method. This questionnaire is grating the demonstration method and documentation is the report card of English material. based on the discussion, the result of data analysis and hypothesis testing of this research, the researcher concludes that the students' of VII grade at MTs. Nurulhuda Pakandangan taugh using the demonstration method is have good English speaking achievement and the correlation between the demonstration method with the students' English speaking achievement of VII grade at MTs Nurulhuda Pakandangan on the interval 0,400 up to 0,600 which means including rather low category.
