THE USE OF AUDIO VISUAL MEDIA IN THE TEACHING LEARNING ENGLISH PROCESS OF LISTENING AT THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF MA TARBIYATUN NASYIIN 1 GRUJUGAN LARANGAN PAMEKASAN

There are two basic problems that the researcher wants to discuss, they are: What are the kinds of audio visual media used in teaching listening at eleventh grade students of MA. Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Larangan Pamekasan, How is the use of audio visual media in teaching learning English process of listening at MA. Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Larangan Pamekasan especially for those student in Eleventh Grade of MA Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Larangan Pamekasan in the academic year of 2010/2011.
The objectives of the study are: to find out the audio visual media used in teaching listening at the eleventh grade students of MA. Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Larangan Pamekasan and also to describe the use of audio visual media in teaching listening at the eleventh grade students of MA. Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Larangan Pamekasan so that hold teaching process to be more effective.
This research uses a qualitative approach. The data obtained by interviews, documentation and observation, then the data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, after which all data is checked for validity by triangulation.
Based on the research result decide that the Eleventh Grade students of MA Tarbiyatun Nasyiin ability in English subject on Listening was good enough, event though they still have weakness to understand perfectly. This is proved by their ability and teacher's ability to achieve the goal of teaching listening process in using Audio Visual Media. The use of Audio Visual Media gives real contribution to the effective and efficient in the classroom in teaching Listening process. While the teacher problems in using Audio Visual Media is when the teacher face a big and students' ability varieties. They are: to practice the element of Audio Visual Media both of; Film, Video and Television aren’t perfect.
Based on the research result can be explained that the Eleventh Grade students of MA Tarbiyatun Nasyiin ability in English subject was good enough. It proved by students’ ability and teachers ability to reach the goal of teaching listening process by Audio Visual Media practice which is practiced by the teacher in the classroom although they still have weakness in understanding the material of Listening perfectly.
