Learning English is very important to be learned by students of Indonesia. By learning English can develop science, technology, cultural art, and developmental relation with other nations. English is spoken official language in the world. It is the primary language used in international affairs. Listening comprehension defined as the ability to remember and understand information presented orally. In listening comprehension the students are hoped to hear what they listen like from English teacher, native speaker, cassette or the others, so that finally the students will get talent in listening comprehension. A listener can either be active or passive. When the speaker’s are in conversation the listener listen to responds appropriately and sometimes stop the conversations to ask the speaker to repeats what they said.
Based on phenomena, the researcher interest to analysis the research focus such as, what are the problems faced by the eighth grade student’s of MTs. AL Falah AL Islami Bancelok Jrengik Sampang in learning listening comprehension? What are the factors effect the learning difficulties of listening comprehension at the eighth grade student’s of MTs. AL Falah AL Islami Bancelok Jrengik Sampang? The scope of this research is some problems in learning english subject faced by the eighth grade student’s of MTs. AL Falah AL Islami Bancelok Jrengik Sampang and the researcher does not discuss all of English skills but limits on the problems of listening comprehension skill.
This research will describe through of qualitative approach with the descriptive research. In collecting the data the researcher use some techniques such as observation, interview, open-ended questionnaire, and documentation. The researcher did observation from 26 March 2012 until 02 June 2012. Then, after the researcher collected the data, the researcher analysis it through the data analyzing procedure as follow: reduction, display, conclusion drawing verification. For research finding, the researcher find the data as follow: five factors disorders concentration of learning, five problems that can be hindering the students success at MTs. AL Falah AL Islami in learning listening comprehension, the factor that influence difficulties in learning listening comprehension. While the conclusion gives the result of this observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation as the problems that the researcher mentioned above, and the suggestion focused on the teacher and the Students at MTs. AL Falah AL Islami Bancelok Jrengik Sampang.
