The Effect of Teacher’s Creativity in Using Method Toward Student English Achievement at MTs. Bustanul Ulum Sanatengah Pasean

Creativity is one of component that should teachers have. Because, it will help them in order to make student comfortable in following their subject. Teacher’s creativity is teacher who knows selecting strategy and variation in using method and technique in English learning to make students enjoy and interest in teaching learning process. While, student achievement is the student got and understood the subject or material that present by their teacher in their class. There are two problems in this research. The first, the researcher wanted to know does teacher’s creativity effect toward student English achievement in MTs. Bustanul Ulum. The second is how significance of teacher’s creativity effect toward student English achievement.
This study applied quantitative research, which the data analyzed by using statistical procedures. This research is a correlation research that involves variable X as independent variable (teacher’s creativity) and variable Y as dependent variable (student English achievement). The subject in this study is all of students in MTs. Bustanul Ulum, because the number all of student 65 so take them all is better. The instrument in this research is questionnaire to collect the data related to variable X (teacher’s creativity) and test to collect the data related to variable Y (student English achievement).
The result of this study is, there is an effect of teacher’s creativity to improve student English achievement that has significant effect toward student English achievement in MTs. Bustanul Ulum Pasean. In teaching the teacher use some technique that suitable with the subject that make students interested and improve their achievement in teaching learning process. The statement above supported by the result of research that is proven with the comparison “r-score” =0,264 is higher than “r-table” in significant level 5%= 0,244 when consulted with the “interpretation r product moment”, “r-score” is in 0,20–0,40 with low interpretation.
Based on the result above, it is suggested that the English teacher expected to use their creativity in using a technique to improve student English achievement and know in selecting the technique that appropriate with the subject, so that the student more interested in following subject.
