Teaching vocabulary is one of the important elements in language that should be understood by the learners because it supports the learning of the language skills development in order to master the target language.Ita core component of language proficiency and provides much of the basis for how well learners speak, listen, read and write. As we know that video or television is so near with our life. It can be said as needed in our life. Moreover, to easier when teacher teachabout teaching English especially vocabularythe children’s. It is easier and more effective to children because it is expressed by audio visual while it is interesting and having fun.
There are two problems in this research 1). How does the English teacher implement blue’s clues video at the seventh grade in classroom of SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan and 2).What are the difficulties faced by the teacher and the students in the teaching of vocabulary of SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan
In this study, the objectives are 1). To describe how the English teacher implement blue’s clues video at the seventh grade in classroom of SMP Negeri 7Pamekasan and 2).To identify the difficulties faced by the teacher and the students in the teaching of vocabulary using blue’s clues video at the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan.
This research used qualitative approach, while the research method applied in this study is descriptive research. The qualitative approach here is to describe the data in the form of words. The data is taken from one video blue’sclues.In this study, the instrument used observation, interview and documentation.They are pre research step, the process of research, the process of data analysis, and arranging the result of research about the teaching vocabulary by using blue’s clues video.
The result of this research shows that teaching vocabulary by using blue’s clues on seventh grade at SMP 7 NegeriPamekasan was success. The teacher asked to the seventh grade students to watch of video and tried to explain and give information by using Indonesian first and next explained it by using English. She asked the students to repeat what she says and also showed the real of thingand asked the students about the name of thing and then the researcher listed the difficult new vocabularies of the topic and performs in front of class.Althoughthe teacher fined difficulty in the teaching and learning process.Besides that, the students also showed their positive responses. The students’ response are that,the students were looked so active and enthusiast while the teaching and learning process, the students also showed their development on the creativity to get the idea in make sentence, and they were also seemed so interested to pay attention and to get involved in teaching and learning process.
