Education is one of the nation’s benchmark progresses, if talking about education we will discuss about curriculum. Curriculum is used as a guide the implementation of instructional activities to achieve the basic competencies and education objective. Teaching methodology as a part of the curriculum. The method is a method of investigation that could lead students to realize what has been obtained during the study. Method is subject to change depending on the material being taught such as method of investigation and other methods.
In this research the research focus is how is the implementation of investigation method in the teaching descriptive writing on the tenth grade students of SMK Al-Miftah Panyepen Palengaan Pamekasan?, so the purpose of the study is to know how is the implementation of investigation method in the teaching descriptive writing on the teenth grade students of SMK Al-Miftah Panyepen Palengaan Pamekasan.
In this research the researcher uses qualitative approach that the data collected was taken from analyzing the teaching descriptive writing. There are third teen students informants in this research. The informants were teacher and some student of SMK Al-Miftah Panyepen Palengaan Pamekasan. They become main source of data. To get the data, the researcher employed observation, interview and documentation.
The result of this research shows that the implementation of investigation method in teaching descriptive writing from the planning aspects, investigation method, and evaluating aspects.
Therefore, the teacher should give feedback on students’ writing. The teacher should emphasize teaching the planning aspect, implementing aspects, and evaluating aspects. Because it becomes the greatest difficulty category for students in making writing. The teacher should give students instructions how to planning, implementing and evaluating correctly in making a composition
