In the proses of teaching and learning English, writing is one of language skills which is taught in the writing material, such as in the Eighth Grade at Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamkasan, it is supported by Visualization technique that used by the English teacher to make the students easier in the process of transferring ideas in the written form. As stated in the Richard theory, writing consist of many constituent part and the students need to consider which one’s will be the most important for a course: content, originality, style, fluency, accuracy, or using appropriate rhetorical form of discourse. In this case, the skills involved in writing are highly complex. The students have to pay attention in the organizing skills of spelling, punctuation, word choice, and so on.
There are two problem statements in this research. The first one is how does the teacher implement Visualization technique in writing skills for the students of the Eighth Grade Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 grujugan Pamekasan 2011-2012. The second one is which part of the step in the implementation of “ Visualization” technique increase the students writing skills of the Eighth grade MTs Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasa 2011-2012?.
This study is to analyze how the teacher implement Visualization technique in writing skills for the students of the Eighth Grade Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasan and to analyze which part of the step in the implementation of “ Visualization” technique increase the students writing skills of the Eighth grade MTs Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasan 2011-2012.
In this research used qualitative research, while the kind of research is descriptive research. The data can be taken from data source such as subject and object of research. The subject of this research is the Eighth Grade students at Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasa, while the object of this research is writing skills. In this case, the researcher used observation, interview, and documentation as the instrument of research. Observation is used to collect the data related with the implementation o Visualization technique in writing skills for the students of the Eighth Grade Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasan 2011-2012. Interview is used to know the students responses in the implementation of Visualization technique in writing activities. The last is documentation such as: Lesson plan, picture, students assignment and list of the students score to analyze and obtain which part or steps of Visualization technique increase students writing skills, because there are several steps that can used by the teacher in the implementation of Visualization technique to the students according to Larsee-Freeman quoted by Lynn Dhority theory.
This result showed that there is one steps in the used of Visualization technique increase the students writing skills of the Eighth Grade Mts Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1 Grujugan Pamekasan. It is about it is about the teacher roles in the students evaluation. In the student’s evaluation, the teacher evaluated the students and gave a good feedback as like the role of teacher as feedback provider. In this case, the teacher gave time to the students to correct their error in their writing activities (assignment), the teacher did not solve the student’s error by herself, the teacher guided the students to correct their mistakes and have a good improvement in the writing activities.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for the English teacher to found a good technique and makes the students interest especially in the writing activities through Visualization technique. It is suggested for the writer that this result of research gave many experience and be able to implement Visualization technique well in English class room. It is suggested for further researcher that the result of this research gave a new experience for better English teaching learning process especially in writing activities.
