Teaching Vocabulary Through Slide Picture as Media at The Eight Grade Junior High School Tahfidz Pamekasan

In learning language, students have to comprehend four skills.
They are speaking, reading, listening, and writing. From that, there are
some aspects that support four skills above. Such as vocabulary,
grammar, and pronounciation are also taught in English teaching and
learning process, but only vocabulary that will be investigated.
Vocabulary is one of the aspect that need for students before study
about four skills. So, it is the first important thing that have to know
by students. In this study, there are two objectives of study, for the
first is to know how does the English teacher use slide picture to
improve vocabulary eight grade SMP Tahfidz Pemakasan and to know
the advantages and disadvantages of using slide picture as media in
teaching vocabulary at the grade eight SMP Tahfidz Pamekasan.
The research method of this study is using qualitative approach
while the kinds of research is descriptive research. Because this study
about teaching vocabulary through picture as media. So, the
investigator tried to investigate this study base on phenomenon at
elementary school especially at the grade eight SMP Tahfidz
Pamekasan. The result of the data analysis and hypothesis testing
which has been conducted, the researcher concludes that the teacher
devided the students into several group and show who is be the leader
and answer the question of the teacher. While, the teacher has
prepared some vocabularies relates with the material and then the
teacher used slide picture to make the students more understand. In
order that, by using slide picture media can increase the student’s
understanding of the materials, the students very enthuissiastic to
learn, visualizing pictures makes it easier and then the lesson passes
well.
The researcher suggests to the students to study more and should
know the way to study especially in learning learning vocabulary to be
easier. For the teacher, they can combine the method with another
method to make the students easier and interest in teaching
vocabulary.. For the next researcher, they can use another approach to
make explanation more deeply.
