The Tutor Teaching Strategies on Zoom Meeting Online Course of Regular Class

Along with the developments of the times and the increasing sophistication of technology,
the conditions of the world of education in Indonesia currently changed the face-to-face learning
system into the social distance (online learning system) since the spread of Covid 19 in Indonesia.
With the change in the learning system, of course, a teacher or tutor has to prepare a suitable
learning strategy to maximize the results of the learning process, one of the media used is a Zoom
application that can be connected between a tutor with the members anytime and anywhere.
Therefore, against the background of the conditions above, the researcher is encouraged to research
“The tutor teaching strategies on Zoom meeting online course of a regular class at Jago Bahasa
Kediri.
There are three research focuses in this study. First, what are the teaching strategies used
by a tutor in the Zoom meeting online course of a regular class at Jago Bahasa Kediri? Second,
how the tutor applies the teaching strategies on zoom meeting online course of a regular class at
Jago Bahasa Kediri? Third, what are the obstacles in teaching on zoom meeting online course of a
regular class at Jago Bahasa Kediri?
This research applied the qualitative research method. The data was shown in descriptive
method because is needed to describe the teaching strategies on zoom meeting at Jago Bahasa in
terms of online courses. The subject of this study is an English tutor at Jago Bahasa Kediri.
Meanwhile, the data was collected from observations, interviews, and also documentations at Jago
Bahasa Kediri.
The findings of the study that the researcher found were the results of the teaching
strategies that a tutor utilized for her members, what are the obstacles that occur in the online
classroom and how to overcome these obstacles, and the results of the strategies that have been
implemented in learning English using the Zoom applications are quite well.
Based on the results of this research showed that the tutor’s strategies and applying
teaching strategies used by a tutor during online teaching in regular classes at Jago Bahasa Kediri
by observing the course policy, the course’s documentation in the syllabus design, and the tutor’s
implementation on the online classroom. Besides, the researcher also found the obstacles in
teaching on zoom meeting online course of a regular class at Jago Bahasa kediri by asking to the
English tutor at Jago Bahasa Kediri.
