Translation, Dr. Ali Syari’ati.
Humans are the most perfect creatures created by Allah SWT from other
creatures on earth. Al-Quran mentions humans with various terms, different but
have the same meaning and have different dictions. In this case, we as humans in
general and as Muslims in particular need to know what the meaning of the word
human in the holy Al-Quran is so that we can understand the intent and purpose of
Allah SWT to mention different terms to us as His creatures so that our lives are
in accordance with the commands and prohibitions of Allah SWT written in our
holy Al-Quran.
In this case, there are two research problems that include what is the
philosophical perspective on the meaning of the word “human” in the holy Quran
English translation by Dr. Ali Syari’ati and what are the derivation concept of
“human” in the holy Quran English translation by philosophical perspective of Ali
Syari’ati. So that, the objective of this research to describe the philosophical
perspective of the meaning of the word “human” in the holy Quran English
translation by Ali Syari’ati and to identify derivation concept of “human in the
holy quran English translation by philosophical perspective of Ali Syari’ati.
The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach, and content
literature as a type of research that is used to identify and describe the
philosophical perspective on the meaning of the word "human" in the English
translation of the Koran. The subject of this research is the English translation of
the Al-Quran translated by Maulana Mohammad Ali, while the object of this
research is the meaning and human terms in the Al-Quran. Data taken from
observation and documentation. This study uses the philosophical perspective of
Dr. Ali Syari'ati. The data found is described using a philosophical perspective
from Dr, Ali Syari'ati.
The result of this study related with the first research problem shows that
humans are God's most perfect creatures from other creatures and humans are
two-dimensional creatures created from two different elements but are partners,
namely, earth/mud and God's spirit. Humans are also beings who have character,
have reason, and can feel something around them, whether it is worldly or divine.
Besides, related with the second research problem so that Quran states that
humans consist of 4 different derivations of terms and complement each other
even though humans are created with different elements.
