The Implementation of Peer Assessment In Writing Paragraph At The Tenth Grade In MAN 1 Pamekasan.

The peer assessment process starts with discussing items and assessment
criteria by teacher and students’. Then each student assesses their designated friend
and also provides feedback. The teacher acts as a mediation and mentor who is
facilitating without full interference.
There are two types of research focuses in this study. First, How do the
students implement peer assessment in writing paragraph for student’s at the tenth
grade of MAN 1 Pamekasan and second What are students’ responses toward
English teacher implementation of peer assessment in writing paragraph activities.
The researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive kind of
research. Researched obtained data from, interview and documents such as
photographs and writing result. The research informants were the students’s in the
tenth grade of MAN 1 Pamekasan academic year 2023.
Based on the result of the study, The student activities in implementation
peer assessment at the tenth grade of Man 1 Pamekasan are as follow: The students
get material about paragraph in the class, the students get worksheet. The student
write about paragraph on the student worksheets, the students get instruction to
students regarding the procedure or steps of peer assessment, The students get an
explanation to the students how to make the correct writing an paragraph, the
students determines pairs in peer assessment, The students choose their own partner
in providing feedback, and The students give correction on their own partner
worksheets. Below are the responses by the students felt difficulties in grammar,
vocabulary, punctuation, determine the topic and themes.
