An Analysis on Learning Strategies In Speaking Used By Successful Students of English Teaching Learning Program of IAIN MADURA.

Speaking is the most important skill because by speaking we can share our
feelings, thought and ideas. When someone is able to speak English as easy as
native speakers, people will see him or her as successful individual in learning
English. Learning strategies are the steps taken by students to develop their
learning. Used by learning strategies build students in mastering their learning by
developing language skills, increasing self-confidence and motivation in the
learning process. In another side, learning strategies are the most important thing
for students of English teaching learning program of IAIN Madura used learning
strategies to successful in speaking. Successful students in speaking is students
who have to speak english fluently and good pronunciation.
There are two focuses of research in this study, including What learning
strategies are used by the students who are successful in speaking and how can the
students be successful in speaking by using the learning strategies.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative as an approach of this
research and descriptive as research design. The subject of this research was the
students of English teaching learning program of IAIN MADURA. Meanwhile,
the data is collected from interview and documentation. To analyze the data, the
researcher used data reduction, data display, and verification. While to check the
validity data researcher used data source triangulation.
The researcher would like to make conclusion of this research, from the
findings of the learning strategies used by successful students of english teaching
learning program of IAIN Madura it can be stated that there are cognitive strategy,
metacognitive strategy and socio-affective strategy. Of the three strategies include
:listening to music, watching english movie/youtube, practice, memorizing
vocabulary, reading a book, role playing and Interaction with other people/social
activities
