The Use of Word Search Puzzle Game in Teaching Vocabulary at The Eight Grade of MTS. Al-Huda,Sumber Nangka, Duko Timur, Larangan, Pamekasan

There are many ways that a teacher can use in teaching English vocabulary.
One of them is by using the word search puzzle game method. This game is one
type of puzzle game, where this type of game is a method to increase students'
vocabulary.
In this study, there are two problems. The first is how does the teacher
applies the word search puzzle game in learning English vocabulary in the second
grade of MTS. Al-Huda Sumber Nangka Duko Timur Larangan Pameksan. The
second is whatare the students respond the use of word search puzzle game in
teaching at the eighth grade of Mts. Al-Huda Sumber Nangka, Duko Timur,
Larangan, Pamekasan.
This research is a qualitative research and uses a descriptive type of analysis.
In addition, the researcher also uses three techniques to analyze the data, namely
data reduction, data transfer and conclusions or evidence. The instruments used in
this study in collecting data were observation, interviews and documentation. This
research started on October 09-12 October 2021.
The research finding of the use of word search puzzle game in teaching
vocabulary at the eight grade of MTS. Al-Huda Sumber Nangka Duko Timur
Larangan Pamekasan was sucsess. Based on the results of observations and
interviews from some students in the eighth grade of Mts. Al-Huda Sumber
Nangka, Duko Timur, Larangan, Pamekasan. That in using this word search puzzle
game, the teacher first divides the students into 3 groups. Then the teacher
distributes a piece of paper containing a word search puzzle game, and the teacher
explain the rule. After that, students read the instructions on the paper and look for
the words referred to by these clues. While the results of interviews conducted by
researchers with some students. Students said that that this game in the teaching and
learning process is suitable for use. Because they feel that using games in learning
vocabulary makes the class fun, fun and also increases their motivation in learning
English vocabulary. Besides that, it also makes their class more active than before
or learning not to use games. In addition, the researchers hope that the results of
this study can be a new additional reference to deepen knowledge about the use of
the word search puzzle game method in learning English vocabulary for English
teachers and future researchers, they can find ideas as solutions to overcome
problems related to with this research topic.
