The researcher will use one of the three types of pre-experimental design, namely
one group pre-test and post-test. To collect data, researcher used tests and
documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of DuPaul et al in
applying Classwide Peer Tutoring, which consists of several implementation
procedures, namely grouping, explanation, substitution, achievement, and
evaluation.
The results of this research found that the use of Classwide Peer Tutoring
strategy on the reading comprehension of the tenth grade at Senior High School 1
Galis. Was effective and made students’ reading comprehension better. Then, the
researcher stated that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null
hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It is evident from the value of t count (t0) is higher
than tt (t table). That is the t table with a significance level of 5% is 2,06 with a
degrees of freedom that is 25. While the t value (t0) in this research is 5,864. In
consultation to analyze the data, the t0 is higher than the t table value in a significant
level, which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) states that students taught
with the Classwide Peer Tutoring strategy have better reading comprehension of
the tenth grade at Senior High School 1 Galis 2022/2023. Then the alternative
