The Effectiveness Of Using Picture Series To The Students’ Achievement In Writing Narrative Text Of The Ninth Grade At Junior High School 2 Larangan.

Writing is innovative activity, because of this when students first put
anything in writing, the students got currently have considering what activities
students has mentions, and the way students are going to mention it. Narrative text
is the text this is used to supply an innovative story or fable story that goals to the

story that goals to the reader. Picture series is the exciting manner to clear up
students difficulties in writing narrative text it permits students to consider idea
without difficulty.
This research has the problem of study, that is “Do the student taught by
using picture series to get better score in their writing narrative text of the ninth
grade at Junior High School 2 Larangan?”. To know the result of this research,
the researcher has formulated a problem study in to the discussed.
In this research, researcher uses quasi experimental design using nonequivalent control group. Because the researcher is to compare an effect of a
particular treatment with different treatment. In this case, variable X is using
picture series and variable Y is students in writing narrative text. The drawing of
two variables of this research. Researcher needs students test score as the data to
calculate the score of students in writing narrative text, and documentation to
relate with this research.
In collection data procedure the researcher has explain the technique that
used in gathering by data collection researcher did some steps are pre-research for
collecting information such as small interview with English teacher and some
students of the ninth grade at Junior High School 2 Larangan, the researcher
makes question in the form of essay test as instrument that is narrative text about
folklore, conducting pre-test, conducting treatment by using picture series for
writing narrative text in experimental group and control group, conducting posttest, making the result of research as well the statistical significance tests,
collecting of the documentation, discussion the result of research.
The result of this research it shows the level of significant 5%, the result of
the computation of t-value is higher is 3,709 and t-table is 0,185. The researcher
concludes is an influence of using picture series to the students achievement in
writing narrative text of the ninth garde at Junior High School 2 Larangan.
Suitable with the problem study of this research, taught by using picture series in
writing narrative text get BETTER SCORE to the students achievement in writing
narrative text of the ninth grade at Junior High School 2 Larangan
