The Difficulties of Writing Argumentative Essay by Using Mind Mapping at Twelve Grade of MA Darul Ulum Banyuanyar

Mind mapping is a method of mapping the form of thinking in the form of
writing or images as a goal to maximize the potential of thinking. Mind mapping
itself in English is often used in making an essay that expresses an opinion to process
the author's thoughts by using the concept.
There are three objectives in this study as an effort to solve a problem. The
first is to find out the difficulties themselves in writing argumentative essays using
mind mapping in the twelfth grade ma Darul Ulum Banyuanyar. The next is to find
out the factors of the difficulty and the last is to aim to know how the teacher copes
with the difficulty
In this study, qualitative research was used and the data is descriptive because
it is necessary to describe the difficulties in writing argumentative essays using mind
mapping in class XII MA Darul Ulum Banyuanyar, Potoan daya village, Palengaan,
Pamekasan. In order for students to be able to overcome these difficulties in the way,
the teacher must overcome these problems by paying attention to the abilities of each
student.
The results of this study found that students' difficulties occurred from several
factors, including the most common lack of developing ideas with their weak literacy.
And in the end, it was successful with the evidence of students in making
argumentative essays. Before understanding the concept of mind mapping and how to
apply it until they are truly able to understand accordance with their respective
conditions. In accordance with the teacher's advice to increase the learning potential
of such students or by training and improving their literacy more often by creating
argumentative essays using mind mapping
