The use of Cooperative Learning STAD to The Speaking English Activity at Favorite Class of Branch of English Lover Assosiation Course of Banyuanyar Boarding School Pamekasan
Key words: Speaking, approach and cooperative .
A theory is a second perspective about motivation that has important
implications for education and for teaching practices. From this perspective,
teaching is viewed as driven by teachers' efforts to integrate theory and practice.
So, first, the teacher must know what theories / assumptions will be used in the
teaching-learning method later, such as the teacher use the cooperative Learning
STAD to the speaking English activity.
This research uses descriptive qualitative because the researcher wants to
analyze the data in descriptive analysis. The researcher gets the data from the
interview, observation and documentation. The number of students at favorite
class of Branch of English Lover Assosiation course of Banyuanyar boarding
school Pamekasan is thirty six students. The data analysis that the researcher uses
are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/ verification. The
researcher also check thevalidity of data, the researcher used triangulation of
source, triangualation of place and triangulation of time to make the data the
researcher gets in the field is valid.
The result of this research shows when the teacher uses cooperative
approach in teaching speaking, the students are interested in learning well because
the cooperative Learning STAD make students enjoy in the classroom. The
teacher divides the students into six groups and in each group consists of six
students.
