“The Influence Of Using Clustering Technique On The Student’s Achievement In Writing Descriptive Text at Eight Grade of SMPN 1 Pademawu in Academic Year 2021/2022”

A lot of techniques and methods in teaching learning process that can
motivate the students and teacher to get the English teaching effectively,
especially in writing. The technique that used in this research is clustering
technique. The research objective in this research is to know whether there is an
influence of clustering technique on the student’s achievement in writing
descriptive text at eight grade of SMPN 1 Pademawu in Academic Year
2021/2022.
This research is quantitative research. A Quasi-Experimental research was
used as the design of this research. The population of this research is eight grade
of SMPN 1 Pademawu in academic year 2021/2022. The researcher using random
sampling as the sampling techniqueand choose 32 students of VIII C and 29
students of VIII D as the sample of this research. D class as the experimental
group, while C as the control group. The instrument of this research was used PreTest and Post-Test. T-test was used in order to analyze the data collected in this
research, it was used to know the significance level of this result.
The data from the pre-test showed that both classes had a slight difference
in the mean score, where experimental group got 69,72 and control group 64,37.
Meanwhile, the post-test score showed that the experimental group got higher
mean score 73,82 and control group 65,31.
The result it proved that null hypothesis is rejected whether the alternative
hypothesis is accepted because the t value = 4.816 has a higher score than t table
5% = 1.999. It clearly proves that there is an influence using clustering technique
on student achievement in writing descriptive text.
