AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ ERRORSONPASSIVE VOICE SENTENCES AT BRIGHT ENGLISH OF TALENTED PROGRAM (BETTER) OF TBI IAIN MADURA

English learners must study the rule of grammar, because it is one of
subjects used in practicing english weather spoken or written. One of the subjects
is Passive voicei. It is an important subject needed by English learners. This
research is conducted in BETTER and the object is the students of BETTER by
using students’ work sheet.
In this case, the focuses of this study are: what are the students’ errors on
passive voice sentences at Bright English of Talented Program (BETTER) of TBI
IAIN Madura, what are the factors that cause the students of Bright English of
Talented Program (BETTER) of TBI IAIN Madura make errors and How to solve
it.
This research uses qualitative which kinds of descriptivedesign. The data
collection procedures are obtained by using documentation and interview. The
object of this study is the students of BETTER in TBI IAIN Madura. And the data
checking validity is done by using triangulation based on the triangulation source,
technique and time.
The result of this research showed many students’ errorson passive voice
sentences have been written by them, most of them frequently made misformation
of participle, Be, addition, word omission, subject –object, by phrase, singular –
plural and the factors that the students make errorsaremisunderstanding of the
correct rule and also forget about the correct rule. Students need to solve it by
remembering again the rules, being used to reading the examples of passive, and
practicing it many times.
Based on the explanation above, it refers to the tutors/teachers that they are
not only to give knowledge, but also educators that can guide the students and
know the ability of students to prepare in a bright future. It is because a good
score is not always about students’ intellegents
