A family is the first and foremost environment where children learn many things.
They learn from the habitual action that are actualized by parents both in terms of deeds
or words. Therefore, parents should be able to establish relationships that contain
educational values with children. In addition, parents must also consider ways that will
be used to give the value of education to children, so that children can accept sense of
responsibility that has been taught by parents.
The focus of this study are: (1) How is the educational interaction material in the
family of tile-making laborers in Tlambah village, Karangpenang Sampang? (2) How is
the educational interaction method in the family of tile-making laborers in Tlambah
village, Karangpenang Sampang? (3) Implications of educational interaction on
children's behavior that occurs in the family of tile-making laborers in the village of
Tlambah Karangpenang Sampang?. While this study uses a qualitative approach with a
descriptive type. The research is located in the village of Tlambah Karangpenang
Sampang. Data collection techniques are carried out by participant observation,
unstructured interviews and documentation of related sources. Data analysis was
performed by data reduction, presentation and verification.
The results showed that: (1) Educational interaction material in the family of tilemaking laborers in Tlambah village, Karangpenang Sampang consists of; first, Islamic
education material which includes the introduction of the pillars of faith and Islam as
well as the nature of Allah. secondly, worship education material which includes prayer
and learning to read the Holy Qur'an. third, moral education material which includes
language attitude, dress code (covering the body), meeting and greeting when hanging
out and entering the house, bowing the head when walking, and daily prayers. (2)
Educative interaction methods in the family of of tile-making laborers in Tlambah
village, Karangpenang Sampang includes education methods by examples, habits, and
the method of advice and punishment approaches. (3) Implications of educative
interactions on children's behavior that occur in the the family of tile-making laborers in
Tlambah village, Karangpenang Sampang namely, the formation of child discipline
character, the formation of a child's learning culture and the formation of good morals
from an early age.
Based on the description above, educative interactions that occurred among
parents and children in the family of tile-making laborers in Tlambah village,
Karangpenang Sampang are good enough, what has been taught by parents to children
in educative interactions is as a basic knowledge about religion as a provision to become
independent individuals. And for this reason, parent should provide conducive learning
conditions that can make children interested in learning something without being forced.
Parents also need to be able to choosse the method of education that appropriate for the
child’s personality. Because every child is born with a different intelligence and talent.
