THE USE OF MACROMEDIA FLASH AS A MEDIA IN LEARNING VOCABULARY AT THIRD GRADE OF SDN PADEMAWU BARAT IV PAMEKASAN

Vocabulary is the core component of language ability and the basis of how
students can speak well, listen, read, and write. Therefore, teacher should use the
vocabulary learning media creatively, becoming more meaningful to attract
student s to the study.
There are two research focuses in this research. The first, how does the
teacher used macromedia flash as a media in learning vocabulary at third grade of
SDN Pademawu Barat IV Pamekasan. The second, what are the advantages and
disadvantages of macromedia flash as a media in learning vocabulary at third
grade of SDN Pademawu Barat IV Pamekasan.
This research use qualitative approach, and the kind of the research is
descriptive. The researcher use observation, interview, and documentation to
collect the data. The data analysis used by the researcher are data condensation,
data display and verification. The triangulation technique is used by the researcher
to check the validity of the data.
Having analyzed the data, the researher finally found a media used by the
teacher, that is macromedia flash. The media used by the teacher at SDN
Pademawu Barat IV Pamekasan has included some indicators about variations,
media, English material, and evaluation that was made by the teacher to know
how far the student mastery about English material. The material that is used by
the teacher did not make the students got a difficulty, because the teacher gave the
material use a simple sentence in the teaching learning process. The teacher gave
some material based on the student level, every student has a variation ability to
understand each material. Based on the indicator of media, it showed that the
media used by the teacher was implemented appropriately.
Therefore, the researcher tries to formulate suggestion relate with finding.
The teacher should create the good situation in the teaching and learning process.
Teacher don’t forget to explain the instructions and the rules easily and
understandably. School should give more interesting picture as a media to develop
the student’s ability in English learning
