THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS LEARNING EVALUATION AND STUDENTS LEARNING MOTIVATION AT EIGHT GRADE OF JUNIOR HIGH SHCOOL 5 PAMEKASAN

Evaluation is the process of systematically collecting and analyzing information in order
to form value judgment base on firm evidence. Evaluation can be given by the teacher to get
learning achievement. Evaluation also used as a benchmark fo the extent to which students
understand the material that has been obtained at school. Evaluation are conducted by teacher not
only in the form of assignment, middle test, tests. However, the teacher can provide an
evaluation of his students in their daily activities.
This research composses two problem of study. The first, is there any correlation between
students learning evaluation and students learning motivation at eight grade of junior high school
5 Pamekasan? The second is, how significance is the correlation between students learning
evaluation and students learning motivation at eight grade of junior high school 5 Pamekasan?.
The method that used by researcher is quantitative method and the technique use by researcher is
correlation. In collecting data, this research use questionnaire instruments for respondents and
conduct online classroom observations. The sample from this research are 29, researcher uses
25% of the total number of eight graders. The population at the eight grade are 130 students and
the sample are VIII E class student. The researcher used random sampling to get a sample for
filling out the questionnaire. In analyzing the questionnaire data assessed from the observation of
the likets scale, from a scale of 1 to 5 scale.
The result There is no correlation between students learning evaluation and students
learning motivation at eight grade of junior high school 5 Pamekasan . The correlation between
students learning evaluation and students learning motivation it proved by data analysis the
value of statistical significance that the researcher comphare the alternativ hypothesis is rejected
and null hypothesis is accepted. It can be seen from the result statistical significance 0,201
smaller than 0,355. Conclusion shows that the students learning evaluation is not always make
the students motivated.
The researcher hope this research can be referens to another research and the researcher
relaze that this thesis is not perfect enough so the researcher need the suggestion to this research.

Evaluasi adalah proses mengumpulkan dan menganalisis informasi secara sistematis
untuk membentuk penilaian berdasarkan bukti. Evaluasi dapat diberikan oleh guru untuk
mendapatkan hasil belajar siswa. Evaluasi juga digunakan sebagai tolok ukur sejauh mana siswa
memahami materi yang telah diperoleh di sekolah. Evaluasi dilakukan oleh guru tidak hanya
dalam bentuk tugas, ujian tengah smester dan ujian akhir. Namun, guru dapat memberikan
evaluasi kepada murid-muridnya dalam kegiatan sehari-hari mereka.
Penelitian ini menggabungkan dua masalah penelitian. Yang pertama adalah, apakah ada
hubungan antara evaluasi belajar siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas delapan SMP 5
pamekasan? Yang kedua adalah, seberapa signifikan hubungan antara evaluasi belajar siswa dan
motivasi belajar siswa di kelas delapan SMP 5 Pamekasan ?. Metode yang digunakan oleh
peneliti adalah metode kuantitatif dan teknik yang digunakan peneliti adalah korelasional. Dalam
mengumpulkan data, penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen kuesioner untuk responden dan
melakukan observasi kelas online. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 29, peneliti menggunakan
25% dari jumlah total delapan siswa kelas. Populasi pada kelas delapan adalah 130 siswa dan
sampel adalah siswa kelas VIII E. Peneliti menggunakan samplimg acak untuk mendapatkan
sampel untuk mengisi kuesioner. Dalam menganalisis data kuesioner dinilai dari pengamatan
skala likets, dari skala 1 hingga 5 skala.
Hasilnya Tidak ada hubungan antara evaluasi belajar siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa di
delapan SMP 5 Pamekasan. Korelasi antara evaluasi belajar siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa itu
dibuktikan dengan analisis data nilai signifikansi statistik bahwa peneliti membandingkan
hipotesis anternativ ditolak dan hipotesis nol diterima. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil signifikansi
statistik 0,201 lebih kecil dari 0,355. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi belajar siswa
tidak selalu membuat siswa termotivasi.
Peneliti berharap penelitian ini dapat dirujuk ke penelitian lain dan peneliti menimbang
bahwa tesis ini tidak cukup sempurna sehingga peneliti perlu menyarankan saran untuk
penelitian ini.
