THE COMPREHENSION OF STUDENT'S ACHIEVEMENT IN LEARNING PROCESS ENGLISH AND ARABIC AT THE ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMK AL-MUJTAMA' PLAK-PLAK PAMEKASAN

Arabic and English are foreign languages that most sought after by Muslem students in Indonesia, especially in Islamic boarding schools. By mastering of both languages is both a challenge and demand for them, because the quality of Islamic intellectual property is written in many of these two languages. Even Arabic and English become compulsory learning in pesantren-based school curriculums, both of these lessons have their own interests among students.
In this research, there are two research focuses. They are How is the Comprehension of Student`s achievement In Learning process English and Arabic, and How are the factors of students achievement in learning process English and Arabic at the eleventh grade of Smk Al-mujtama’ Pak-pak Pamekasan?
This research was qualitative research and used descriptive research. The location of this research was at SMK Al-mujtama` Pamekasan. The researcher had two limitations, they were the teacher and the students at the eighth grade of SMK Al-mujtama` Pamekasan. Three instruments that were used were interview, observation and documentation. Beside that, the researcher used three techniques to analyzed the data , they were data condensation, data display and conclussion drawing or verification.
This research resulted as follows: the first, Comprahension of student achievement in learning process English and Arabic is better with English, referring to the average end of semester Arabic score is 84.6 while the average score of English is 89.4. the two mean values differ by about 5 or 6%. the Second, the achievement factors in the process of learning Arabic and English students are caused by several factors, namely: internal factors such as student talents and interests, external factors such as environmental factors, both family environment, community environment, and school environment. The school environment is needed to determine the success of student learning, such as teachers, administration, and classmates. The things that most influence the success of students' learning in schools include teaching methods, curriculum, teacher-student relations, and student-student relationships.
Based on the research above, it is recommended for teachers to try to find new strategies or techniques with the aim of motivating students so that students' interests can grow and develop that students will later recognize their talents. for students, they also have to maximize learning even without the supervision of the teacher in the class. The last suggestion for other researchers is to do the same research but in different aspects.
