The Effect of English Week Program on The Male Students’ Speaking Skill at The Bording School Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan Pamekasan

English week program is a technique to easier conversation by using English language, and hope the students will be make it habitual.
There are two problem statements in this research, the first is, does the use of English Week Program affect on The Male Students’ Speaking Skill at The Bording School Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan? The second is, how significant is the effect of English Week Program affect on The Male Students’ Speaking Skill at The Bording School Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan?
This research applied quantitative approach, in which the data are analyzed by using statistical procedures. This research is conducted in Ex Post Facto design because it has been already applied. This research used correlation that involves two variable. This research used correlation that involves variable X (independent variable) and variables Y (dependent variable). In this case, variable X is english week program and variable Y is students’ speaking skills.
The population in this research is all the students almubtadi’in of boarding school Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan Pamekasan academic year 2019-2020 containing 32 students. The instruments that are used in collecting data are questionnaire given to the students and documentation related to score of students speaking skills. Data analysis technique used statistical analysis by using product moment.
The result of this study is there is an effect of english week program on the male students speaking skill at The Bording School Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan and english week program has a significant effect on the students’ speaking skill at almubtadi’in of boarding school Darul Lughah Akkor Palengaan Pamekasan. Thus, english week program used in teaching speaking was so helpful in improving students’ speaking ability. It is proven by compairing rxy to r table. The value of rxy is 0,765 and the value of r table with N=32 in significance 5% is 0,349. The value of rxy is higher than r table. When we consult rxy with table interpretation, the value of rxy is in 0,70 till with 0,90 in the level of enough interpretation.
Based on the result above, the reasercher concludes that the using of english week program is so helpful to regulate students’ ideas and as affective way to help students in developing and organizing their ideas before they began conversation. In teaching speaking it also helpful to create and active teacing-learning process.
