THE STUDENTS’ RESPONSE ON THE USE OF WI-FI IN ENGLISH SUBJECT SPECIFIC IN LISTENING SKILL AT ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PAMEKASAN

The presence of the internet in the world of education brings a new nuance to the teaching and learning process. It not only functions as a source of information, but can also increase student motivation in class. So to improve mutifation and enthusiasm for learning Muhammadiyah high school students provide Wi-Fi facilities as access to student learning, especially in Listenaning lessons. The focus of this study is twofold: first, how do students respond to the use of Wi-Fi as a medium for learning English specifically in listening at Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pamekasan? Second, how is the listening learning process using Wi-Fi in Muhammadiyah 1 Pamekasan High School ?
The study used a qualitative approach with the type of research used was descriptive. Sources of data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation, the informants were high school students of Muhammadiyah 1 Pamekasan. While checking the validity of the data is done through the extension of participation, perseverance of observation, triangulation, peer examination through discussion, negative case analysis, member checking, detailed description, and auditing.
First Research Results, a) students' responses to the use of Wi-Fi as a listening learning media. 1. Efforts to improve the quality of English language learning, especially in listening learning .. 2. Students more easily understand listening material. 3. Lack of control conducted by the teacher of students who are allowed to use mobile phones when learning English listening material. Second, a) learning process listenin, Before starting the lesson the teacher forms a group first and students are limited to 3 times to listen to listening material through audio or audio visual. b) Students are asked to analyze or present observations from audio visual.

Hadirnya internet dalam dunia pendidikan membawa nuansa baru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Ia tidak saja berfungsi sebagai sumber informasi, tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam kelas. Maka untuk meningkatkan mutifasi dan semangat belajar siswa SMA Muhammadiyah memberikan fasilitas Wi-Fi sebagi akses belajar siswa khususnya di pelajaran Listenaning. Fokus penelitian ini ada dua: pertama, bagaimanarespon siswa terhadap penggunaan Wi-Fi sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa inggris spesifik di listening di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pamekasan? Kedua, bagaimana proses pembelajaran listening dengan mengunakan Wi-Fi di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pamekasan?.
Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenispenelitian yang di gunakan adalah deskriptif. Sumber data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, obseravasi dandokumentasi, informannya adalahsiswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pamekasan. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui Perpanjangan keikutsertaan, Ketekunan pengamatan, Triangulasi, Pemeriksaan sejawat melalui diskusi, Analisis kasus negatif, Pengecekan anggota, Uraian rinci, dan Auditing.
HasilpenelitianPertama, a)respon siswa terhadap penggunaan Wi-Fi sebagai media pembelajaran listening. 1. Upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris khususnya dalam pembelajaran listening.. 2. Siswa lebih mudah mengerti materi listening. 3. Kurangnya control yang dilakukan oleh guru terhadap siswa yang dibolehkan menggunakan HP saat pembelajaran bahasa inggris materi listening. Kedua,a)proses pembelajaran listenin,Sebelum memulai pelajaran guru membentuk kelompok terlebih dahulu dan Siswa dibatasi 3 kali untuk mendengarkan materi listening melalui audio atau audio visual.b)Siswa diminta untuk menganalisa atau mempresentasikan hasil pengamatan dari audio visual.
