THE STUDY OF ENGLISH MOVIE AS MEDIUM IN ACQUIRING ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION AT SECOND SEMESTER OF STUDENTS ENGLISH TEACHING LEARNING PROGRAM IN IAIN MADURA

Many way did by the student to increse their English skill especially students speaking skill. There some student fallowing a course to increase their English skill. But theire some student who like watching English movie subconsciously acquire their English pronunciation by watching and hearing English movie. The researcher formulates two problems in this thesis, Howthe students at second semester of English teaching learning program in State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Madura use English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation, What the advantages of English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation, What the disadvantages of English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation for the students at second semester of English teaching learning program in IAIN Madura. So, this research conducted to describe how the students at second semester of English teaching learning program in IAIN Madura use English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation,to know what the advantages and disadvantages of English movie as a medium in acquiring English pronunciation. Based on phenomenon the researcher interest to deeply the fact of how the students use English movie as their medium in acquiring English pronunciation and what the advantages and disadvantages of English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation. This study describes through qualitative approach with descriptive research. While the scope in this study is English movie as medium in acquiring English pronunciation.In collecting the data the researcher used some techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. The interview was done namely second semester of students English Teaching Learning Program. In addition,the researcher conducted observation from 27thMarch untill 30 April 2018 through watch the video record, while the researcher collected the data documentation as interviewing and recording the student when the students watch English movie. Next after the researcher collected data, the researcher analysis based on Jonh W Creswell theories by using prepare and organizing the data for analysis, explore and code the data, coding to build description and themes, represent and report qualitative findings, Interpret the Findings, and Validate the Accuracy of the Findings
The finding of research that happened in second semesterof English teaching learning program in State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Madura isthere are kind of students way in acquiring English pronunciation by watching English movie. There was three learning style that used by the students they are kinesthetic, auditory, and visual. There also many advantages and disadvantages that faced by the students who used English movie as their medium in acquiring English pronunciation
