THE USE OF PRESENTATION PRACTICE AND PRODUCTION (PPP) MODEL USED BY NON ENGLISH DEPARTMENT GRADUATED TEACHER IN TEACHING GRAMMAR AT SMA ISLAM AL-HUSEN BANGKES KADUR PAMEKASAN

Grammar is an important thing for the students, because it can help them to manage the composition of clause,frase,words, and sentence in any given natural language. Through grammar, they can express their mind freely, they can practice their grammar by making sentences or exercises in many places such as in the school. So the non English department graduated teacher use best way to make grammar class more active in the class and interesting in learning grammar. Presentation Practice and Production (PPP) Model is one of the model that the English teacher in SMA Islam Al-Husen Bangkes Kadur Pamekasan.
There are three research problems in this study, the first is how is the Presetation,Practice and Production (PPP) Model used by non English department graduated teacher in teaching grammar at SMA Islam Al-Husen Bangkes Kadur Pamekasan.The second is what is the strengths of Presetation Practice and Production (PPP) Model used by non English department graduated teacher in teaching grammar. The third is What is the weakness of Presetation Practice Production (PPP) Model used by non English department graduated teacher in teaching grammar.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative as the approach of the research, and kind of the research is descriptive. The data sources are the English teacher of twelve grade and the students of this class. in collecting the data, the researcher uses some procedures are those are observation, interview, and documentation. And to analyzed the data, the researcher using three steps namely data condensition, data display and conclusion and drawing verifying. Validity of the data, the researcher used Triangulation source.
The use Presetation Practice and Production (PPP) Model is conducted in three step, opening activity, main activity, and closing activity. The teacher uses this model by using presentation practice and production. The students practice through write and identify the sentences that related with the material. The strengths of this model are make or help the students understand the lesson given by the teacher, make the students more active in the class, and this model is simple and it is does not need certain tool. The weakness of this model are it can make the students get bored in the class, It can make the students confused, and it can make the students tend to feel ashamed to apply and practice the material.
Based on the result of research above, it is suggested for the English teacher to give more attention to the students. And it is also suggested for the students to practice their grammar skill and to be more confidence to reach the goal learning.
