THE IMPLEMENTATION OF WHISPER GAME ON TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY AT SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 PROPPO PAMEKASAN

Learning vocabulary is very important because vocabulary is one of component in learning a foreign language. Here, the researcher finds that the English teacher of Junior High School 1 Proppo Pamekasan implements game to make the teacher explain the material easily. The game that the teacher implemented is whisper Game. Whisper game is a game that whisper a messageto onother through lines, it can be played five until ten people in every group.
There are four researchfocuses in this study. The first,how the teacher implementation whisper game on teaching English vocabulary at seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Proppo Pamekasan. The second, the part of the implementation of whisper game that can give motivation tothe students in teaching English vocabulary at seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Proppo Pamekasan. The third, the obstacles faced by teacher on the implementation of whisper game on teaching English vocabulary at seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Proppo Pamekasan. The fourth, how the teacher overcome the obstacles on the implementation of whisper game on teaching English vocabulary at seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Proppo Pamekasan.
The result of this research found that there were three steps in the implementation of whisper game on teaching English vocabulary at seventhgradestudents of Junior High School 1 Pamekasan. There are pre-teaching, whilst-teaching, and post-teaching. In this game, there is motivation to the students such as when the students whisper new word to other students, its make students motivation to listen carefully in order to know about the meaning. Based on the result of the research above, whisper game is effective game that the teacher used in teaching teaching learning process, especially for vocabulary because make students enjoyable, excited, and more active in the classroom. In this game, the teacher have obstacles on the implementation of whisper game such as the students feel shy, the students had less vocabulary, and classroom management. But the English teacher have solution to overcome the obstacles on the implementation of whisper game such as the teacher give motivation to all students in order to dont be shy and afraid if the teacher ask about new vocabulary, the teacher got students to prepare their dictionary, and the teacher takes the students attention by walking around the class to manage classroom.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for English teacher to understand the students condition in the classroom. So the English teacher can solve the students difficulties in vocabulary mastery. The English teacher should have appropriate activity that is suitable with the material and students ability.
