THE STUDY OF LEARNING DIFFICULTIES FACED BY THE STUDENTS IN ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION CLASS AT THE SECOND SEMESTER OF TBI DEPARTMENTIAIN MADURA

Pronunciation is how to produce the language, in other word pronunciation is the way in which a language or a particular word or sound is spoken, so that pronunciation is important in order to make good English conversation, and also to avoid misunderstanding between speaker and listener. Students of English teaching and learning program are learnt about this subject, Pronunciation is one aspect of learning English with students to increase their English language.
There are three research problem of this research. Firstly, what are learning difficulties faced by students in English pronunciation, secondly the caused factor of difficulties in learning English pronunciation, the last is how the students solve their difficulties in learning English pronunciation of TBI second semester IAIN Madura.
This study is a descriptive research using a qualitative approach, where IAIN Madura as the researcher setting, whose the second semester students of TBI department is take as the data sources.
The researcher used triangulation for validity of the data, and focus on the students ofsecond semester in English teaching and learning department 2018, on this semester there are four classes,data collecting procedure that used by the researcher are documentation and interview as a data collection.
Based on the researcher, the students of English pronunciation class of second semester TBI department IAIN Madura, some of them got difficulties in learning English pronunciation class among of them have difficulties on spelling system, unfamiliar vocabulary, difficulties in vowel sound, difficult in minimal pairs, and there difficulties in learning English pronunciation are caused by some factors such as: because of less practice, understand the theory, difficult in understand the phonetic, different stays of English, the student have there on way to solve their problem such as: watching English video related with the English pronunciation, learning with their friend, practice, and also checking dictionary to solve their problem.
Based on this research, the researcher can give suggestion for students should have high motivation to learn about English pronunciation, and also they should aware with their difficulties in English pronunciation, suggestion for the teacherto be guider and knowing what are the students difficulties about English pronunciation and also be aware to their students difficulties, suggestion for the researcher, to always learn and always improve their ability in conducting the research to make the result of research better.
