THE ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH SPEAKING DISFLUENCY FACED BY THE SECOND SEMESTER STUDENTS OF ENGLISH TEACHING LEARNING PROGRAM IN STAIN PAMEKASAN

There are four basic language skills in English language, they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Speaking is the most important skill because by speaking we can share our feelings, thought and ideas. Speak fluency has become a dream of most English learners. When someone is able to speak English as easy as native speakers, people will see him or her as succesful individual in learning English. In another side, fluency also is a component of speaking.The second semester students ofEnglish Teaching Learning Program of STAIN Pamekasan faced disfluency in speaking English. The students should aware about their disfluency and the lecturer must find the way to solve that problem.
There are three focuses in this research; the types of disfluency facedby the second semester of TBI students, the factors caused difluency speaking english made by the second semester of TBI students, the ways the lecturer solve disfluency speaking english faced by the second semester of TBI.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative as an approach of this research and descriptive as kind of the research. The researcher uses three instruments in collecting the data; Observation, interview and documentation. Then the researcher uses triangulation of data sourceand also use triangulation of the techniquein checking the validity of data.
The result of this research, the researcher found that the second semester students of TBI in STAIN Pamekasan who have disfluency when they speak English such as hesitation, filler, repetition, revision. Those problem owned by the students because theyare nervous to speak in front of the class, they do not unfamiliar with the topic that given by the lecturer and infrequent word is also the factor that make the students have disfluency in speaking English.After the students have disfluency, the lecturer tries to make her own ways to solve the disfluency by creating conducive learning environment, understanding the students’ personality and avoding feedback.
Based on the result above, fluency takes important role in English, but the second semester students of TBI have disfluencyso,the lecturer must also has innovation or a good way to make them better in speaking.
