The Roles of BAGANSA on Santri's Second Language Acquisition at TMI. Nurul Huda on Creative Construction's Theory of Dulay and Burt,

Modern Islamic boarding school became one of the Islamic educational institutions that continue to move dynamically to answer the challenges and needs of the times, one of them with English as the language of social interaction of everyday santri. In order to run this linguistic system, the headmaster makes a special part in the structure of the students' orgarnisation, namely BAGANSA (Language Development Section). BAGANSA is a section that plays a role in the the santri's second language acquisition, because its role is informal, outside the classroom.
In obtaining santri’s second language, BAGANSA works in accordance with the mandate of a plenary work meeting. According to the work plan, BAGANSA is mandated to play a role in the santri’s second language acquisition with; (1) applying English as an official language, (2) organize giving and repeating vocabulary, (3) holding conversations, (4) holding listening program, (5) holding courses, (6) holding seminars, (7) publishing linguistic creativity, (8) holding competitions, (9) holding tour of studies, and (10) holding punishment for language offenders.
There are two problems that become the main study in this research, that is; first, of the ten roles above, what are the roles of BAGANSA related to Creative Construction Theory of Dulay and Burt; second, how BAGANSA plays a role in santri's second language acquisition based on Creative Construction Theory of Dulay and Burt.
This research uses the qualitative approach with ethnography type. The data collection procedure used are observation, interview, documentation, and audiovisual by making santri and ustadz as their data sources. While checking the validity of data is done by checking transcripts and prolong the interaction in the field.
The results of this study say that; first, the entire roles of BAGANSA above are directly related to Creative Construction Theory of Dulay and Burt and secondly, BAGANSA plays a role in santris’s second language acquisition in accordance with the behavior described by the Creative Construction Theory of Dulay and Burt. Another conclusion that can be drawn from this study is the proof that the language acquisition system run by BAGANSA is supported by this theory. By studying this research, BAGANSA and all elements of TMI. Nurul Huda are expected to explore the theory of creative construction in maximizing its role.
