THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LECTURING METHOD IN TEACHING LEARNING ENGLISH TO 6TH GRADESTUDENT’S OF SDN POTO’AN LAOK 2 PALENGAAN PAMEKASAN

In teaching learning English many teachers who implement many methods. The purpose is so that have positive impact on student learning, but there are also teachers that use the old method, the method is lecturingmethod, this method includes the ancient method used by English teacher’s in SDN Poto'anLaok 2 PalengaanPamekasan more than 10 years without any change,even though the technology is growing and many teachers of others school are applying new methods that are considered more efficient, but the English teachers in this school still prefer to use the ancient method (Lecturingmethod), although the teacher and the headmaster sometimes change every period, but the Lecturingmethod still use in this school.
From the above explanation, we have some main issues that will be discussed in this article, the first is how does the teacher Implement of lecturing method in teaching learning English to 6th grade Student’s of SDN Poto’an Laok 2 Palengaan Pamekasan, and the second is how does the student’s response of lecturing method implemented by their teacherin teaching learning English, and the third is what are the strength and weaknesses of lecturing method in teaching learning English to 6th Grade Student’s of SDN Poto’an Laok 2 Palengaan Pamekasan.
In this study, The researcher choose Qualitative research in collecting data, because it can direcly present about result of research, that relationship between researcher and subject of research. Beside that the qualitative research is suitable to know subject and object of research naturally, The data get by Observation, Interview and Documentation.
From the results of this study indicate that the implementation of Lecturing method in teaching learning English, the teacher discuss about English subject by spoken suitable with the principle of lecturing method, there are three point, the first is the preparations aspects, the second is the implementation aspects, and the third is the evaluation aspects. In the student’s response to lecturing method implemented by their teacher in teaching learning English is the students directly give good response to it. The Strength of lecturing method is easy and cheap method to implementation, and the weaknesses of lecturing method is there the students still not understand about their material.
