Difficulty is a trouble that influenced to students achievement. Essentially, learning difficulty that suffered not only caused by their low intelligence or student intelligence but also caused by many factors such as, physiology, psychology, infrastructure on teaching, and environment study factor.
Writing is one of activities in the classroom where the students can share information from their idea into written form or to the readers. Paragraph is a written that develops one main idea.
There are three focuses in this study: First, what are the students difficulties on making paragraph for Fantastic Grade at Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) Karangcempaka Bluto Sumenep. Second, what are the factors that influence students’ difficulties on making paragraph for fantastic grade at Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) Karangcempaka Bluto Sumenep. Third, how does the teacher of fantastic grade at Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) Karangcempaka Bluto Sumenep solve students’ difficullties.
In collecting the data the researcher used some of techniques, as like, interview, observation and documentation. The researcher used qualitative approach and the kind of this research is descriptive research.
Based on the interview and observation, the students found some difficulties on making paragraph, developing ideas, making concluding sentence, grammatical errors, punctuation errors, capitalization errors, and spelling errors because the students have little ability in English and still beginner.
These difficulties can be influenced by many factors such as external factor and internal factor. External factor comes from out side their self as like family, school and social environment while internal factor comes from their self such low motivation, low proclivity, low intelligence.
The teacher makes the solution for solving the student’s difficulties to study English especially on making paragraph, such as the teacher gives some vocabularies every meeting and practice to make a sentence based on the teacher given. The teacher also always motivate the students to keep students spirit in order the students still spirit and interest to study English and the teacher also build the extracurricular program.
