THE USE OF WHATSAPP IN TEACHING-LEARNING ENGLISH WRITING FOR NINTH GRADE STUDENTS AT MTS AL-KAROMAH LARANGAN BADUNG PAMEKASAN

WhatsApp is one of social media to send message. Therefore, WhatsApp can make the students and the teacher communicate easier. In other hands, this media also can use to facilitate teaching learning, such as submit their assignment, asking about the material and others. This media uses in MTs Al-Karomah Larangan Badung Pamekasan to teaching learning process.
Based on the explanation above, there are three research focuses, such as: the first, how the teacher uses WhatsApp in teaching English writing for the ninth grade students at MTs Al-Karomah Larangan Badung Pamekasan, the second, how the students learn English writing through WhatsApp at MTs Al-Karomah Larangan Badung Pamekasan and the third, what the responses of students using WhatsApp in English writing subject for ninth grade students at MTs Al-Karomah Larangan Badung Pamekasan.
This research uses qualitative approach and uses descriptive design. Therefore, the researcher instrument can divide a procedure to college data by these steps: interview and documentation. The respondent are the teacher and the ninth grade students of MTs Al-Karomah Larangan Badung Pamekasan. While, the validity of data verification will use two triangulation such as Data Source Triangulation and Triangulation of Technical.
The result of the research above: the first, the teacher uses WhatsApp in teaching English writing. The use of WhatsApp, the teacher can correct their writing, also help the students difficulties in study English writing. The second, the students learn English writing through WhatsApp by answering every message or task given by the teacher via group of WhatsApp, so that the students do not only send the answer but they still think about it. The third, students’ response by using WhatsApp in teaching learning process of writing English well. Because by using WhatsApp can add the students knowledge, using WhatsApp can discuss anywhere, and using WhatsApp also makes the students interest to study with their teacher and their friends.
