Language is a set of rules that used by human as a tool of their communication. Slang language is an informal language used by particular group of people. Teenagers and young people is the most importent object in this informal language, so that there are many slang language that come from teenagers and young peoples. In the other hand they have many media to express these slang, such as in Facebook as a famaous social media in this era.
From the phenomenon above, the researcher wants to know kinds internet slang words, lexical words, and contxtual meaning of internet slang words that used by students of STAIN Pamekasan on facebook.
In this case, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The researcher got the data from interview, observation, and documentation. The number of internet slang words that the researcher found are twenty three. The data analysis that the researcher used are data reduction, data display and verification. To chek the data validity, the researcher used triangulation, espesially triangulation of sources.
The result of this research are there are twenty three of internet slang words that have lexical meaning thath is used by students of STAIN Pamekasan on facebook. There are some internet slang that have same words but they have different in the way to write, and also there are some of them have different words but have same contextual meaning.
Finally, researcher made conclusion about Slang language that used by students of STAIN Pamekasan, they use english slang that have lexical words too much, and they have some similiarities and differences. The researcher also suggests to the other facebook users to use internet slang well, and do not forget their language, and for further researcher she hopes this study can continue with different object by using different research design.
