Reading comprehension is the activities of the reader with the text. Every text has the main idea that must find from the reader. Such as cooperative strategy, the mean of cooperative here explain to students how to formation of study group and guidancing study groups when they perfom task. this strategy usually intended for children. Every student knows about this strategy. Such as students at The Eleventh Grade of SMA Tahfidz Parnekasan.
Then the researcher made is research has two main problems, they are, Is there any effect of cooperative strategy on Student's Readfog Comprehension at The Eleventh Grade of SMA Tahfidz Pamekasan and How significant is the effect of cooperative strategy on student's reading comprehension at eighth grade students of SMA Tahfidz Pamekasan . Since cooperative strategy is one of reading strategy which can help students to be easier in comprehendi ng text through malcing questions based on the topic of the text.
In this research, the researcher used quantitative research approach exactly pre-experimental research design. The population of this research is the eleventh grade students only one class consist of 27 students so that it is called by sample population .. In this research, uses sample population because less than l 00 sample.
The instrumefuts * us d, in •colletjng data are test and documentation. The technique of data analysis used statistical analysis that refers to the T test analysis.
The result of this research showed that there is effect of cooperative strategy to the student reading comprehension at The Eleventh Grade of SMA Tahfidz Pamekasan. It is proven from the result of the data analysis and hypotheses test which showed that there is significant effect of cooperative strategy to the student reading comprehension at the Eleventh Grade of SMA Tahfidz Pamekasan by the result of T test is 3,95. "f' value is higher than "t" table in 5% or 1% (5% = 3,95 > 2,06 and 1% = 3,95 > 2,78).
