THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MISSING LYRICS IN JUSTIN BIEBER' S SONGS ON LISTENING AT THE TENTH GRADE OF MAN PAMEKASAN

Listening becomes a crucial skill in language learning, because from some skills of English, listening is the important one than reading, speaking and writing, through listening the student can recognize to produce the English word directly and all the language skills are influenced by listening. However the condition is contrast with it, listening is rare to implement in the school, the teacher tends to ignore this skill because of many reasons. It is interested for the researcher to conduct the research deal with this topic, she finds a school that implement the listening skill especially this technique.
In this research, there are three problems or research focus, the first one is how the implementation of missing lyric in Justin Bieber's songs on listening at the tenth grade of MAN Pamekasan. The second one is what are the students' respons to the implementation of missing lyric in Justin Bieber's songs on listening at the tenth grade of MAN Pamekasan. And the last one is what are the advantages and disadvantages of missing lyric in Justin Bieber's songs on listening at the tenth grade of MAN Pamekasan.
The researcher conducted the research to find out the answer of those questions have explained above. The research objective of the research is to describe the implementation of missing lyrics, to find out the students' responses and to find out the advantages and disadvantages of missing lyrics. This research was conducted by using qualitative approach. The researcher described all the finding from the research, therefore this research used descriptive research design. The researcher used observation, documention and interview to obtain the data. And this research conducted in one of the Islamic senior high school in Pamekasan, namely MAN Pamekasan.

many respons which are different. The students feel happy and fun during study through this technique and feel interested to join in the class and pass the learning process eventhough some students feel confuse because they dislike English songs. And there are some advantages that researcher found from the data. The advantages of missing lyrics are the students get new vocabularies , then they also study about pronounciation through listen to the singer. Furthermore tnissing lyrics easy to the students, because it ju st consists of a short blank space and short words.And through song the students more focus in study, listen and fill the gaps. Because their brain is relax and enjoy. The researcher also got the answer about the disadvantages of the missing lyrics technique, these are missing lyrics take more time, it also not comm unicative, it is not like a dialogue or conversation . There are some unclear words when the music is louder than the lyrics that the singer song. The researcher also found the information that the students difficult to catch the word when there are a fast speed parts in the song.
Based on the result above, it is suggested to the teacher to implement the technique in the other subject and considere some aspects about the song that will use. It is suggested to the students to listen more about the western song and learn more about the vocabularies to avoid unfamiliar words.
