THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MAKING OUTLINE TECHNIQUE IN TEACHING WRITING DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH FOR THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF MA AL-AMIEN I PRAGAAN SUMENEP

Writing is one of the four language skills in which it is an activity to transfer message (communication) by using language as its media. In learning writi ng, the students should have a good practice. They should master many aspects of language skills especially sentence and vocabulary , diction, punctuation, until the paragraph development should be done in achieving a good quality of writing work. The English teacher should have some techniques in order to make the students have a good motivation in writing activity. Outline as technique is implemented in teachi ng writing for the tenth grade of MA Al-Amien IPragaan.
There are two research problems in this study. The first is how the teacher implementsmaking outlinein teaching writing descriptive text for the tenth grade students of MA Al-Amien I Pragaan Sumenep. The last is how making outlinehelps students in learning writing descriptive text for the tenth grade of MA Al-Amien 1 Pragaan Sumenep
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative as the approach of the research and kind of the research is descriptive. The data sources are the English teacher of tenth regular grade and the students of this class. In collecting the data, the researcher usessome procedures those are observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher then analyzes the data by reduction, display, and verification. Additionally, for getting the validity of the data, the researcher used method triangulation .
The result of research shows outline technique is implemented by the teacher successfully because the teacher implements the technique by joining the activities of making outline from the parts of the outline namely beginning, middle, and conclusion and students should create descriptive text and begun with the outline. Similarly, the students should present their writing result in front of the class and others give question or comment. Here only some students present it because it is limited by the time.Besides, this techniquehelps students in many ways. Those are; it helps students to express the idea, minimize the time, and makes coherence writing.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for the English teacher to implement a good technique in teaching writing in order the students are motivated to write the text and should have a good preparation before going to teach. It is also suggested for the students to have a good practice in writing and a good motivation in order they have a good quality in writing skill
