Vocabulary is one important of element that have fourth skills, there are: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In Elementary High School study English vocabulary is still difficult because the students still have a little English vocabulary. Cartoon movie is a short movie always watch by children, in television program Sunday morning and there are many cartoon movie can the children watch.
Based on that statement the researcher feels interested in conducting a research about the effect of Dora's movie to students' English vocabulary on the third grade at Islamic Elementary School Miftahul Ulum Batang-Batang. The problem of this research are Do Dora's movie influence students' English vocabulary in Islamic Elementary School Miftahul ulum Batang-Batang Surnenep · and Is there any significant differences of students' English vocabulary who watch Dora's movie and who doesn't watch Dora's movie in Islamic Elementary Schoo] Miftahu] ulum Batang-Batang Sumenep. While the objective of this research are To know the influence of Dora's movie on students' English vocabulary at Islamic Elementary School Miftahul ulum Batang-Batang Sumenep and To measure the significant differences of students' English vocabulary who watch Dora's movie and who doesn't watch Dora's movie at Islamic Elementary School Miftahul ulum Batang-Batang Sumenep.
This research is using the quantitative approach with a research design called experimental design. The research instrument of this research is test and documentation, with the sample which consists of 20 students and it is taken from the third class.Then the data obtained will be analyzed by using T-test fonnula.
After analyzing the data the result showed that there is an effect of Dora's movie on student's English vocabulary at Islamic Elementary School Miftahul Ulum Batang-Batang, and there is significant different of students' English vocabulary. It can be proven by the result of t-value is higher than t-table in degree of freedom 19 since in significant" level of 5% is 2,09. It is proven that the obtained (to: 2,819 > tt: 2,09). It means that, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for English teacher to aid students in their English vocabulary by using media such as watching a cartoon movie to make the students spirit in studying English vocabulary.
