"Abu Isa said this hadith hasan shahih. (HR. At Tinnidhi no. 2933).
The hadith explains that studying foreign languages well is advocated by the Prophet, as a means of broadcasting the Religion of Islam, in order that Muslims wi.11 not be deceived by non-Muslims . Similarly as the ummah of Islam can master all sorts of fields of science are also growing in the western world .
Having good pronunciation is one of the important target for everyone who speaks English. Everyone will interest to talk with people who have good pronunciation . Pronunciation is definitely the biggest thing that people notice when other people are speaking Eng)jsh. Speaking without good pronWJciation will give bad effect to
the listener, it will make an understanding between speaker and listener.
There are two research focuses in this research . The first is whether the students difficulties in diphthong pronWJciation at
dormitory of SMA Sabilillah Sampang. The second is how do the teachers overcome the students problem in diphthong pronunciation at dormitory of SMA Sabilillah Sampang.
This research is to identify the students difficulties in diphthong pronunciation at dormitory of SMA Sabilillah Sampang And to investigate bow do the teachers overcome the students problem in diphthongs pronunciation at dormitory of SMA Sabilillah Sampang.
The researcher chooses to use qualitative descriptive as the
method of research. The researcher collect the data by using observation, interview, documentation, and audiovisual. The data is collected from the students daily activities at donnitory.
The research result shows that mostly the students change diphthongs /et/ into sound /1/ only when students pronounce the initial sound /et/ and middle sound /et!, the diphthong /a u/ is replaced by sound /J/ or /u/, the diphthong /at/ is replaced by sound
/1/, / El, in middle sound and the diphthong /ou/ is replaced by sound
/ -;,/ ,lo/ . It is suggested to the students more practice it and active in their learning process and also daily activities by using good pronunciation especially in diphthongs. l11e last, the teachers get the students to practice the pronunciation especially in diphthongs pronunciation as much as possible.
