THE EFFECT OF THE WORD ORDER GAME TO THE STUDENTS' WRITING SKILL AClEVEMENT AT SEVENTH GRADE OF SMP NEGERI 1TLANAKAN

Writing is one of skill in language learning that is very important to teach in the classroom because it can be used to achieve the ability to write about our feelings, ideas, opinion and also to express anything which comes into our mind in written form.
This study is to investigate whether the students taught using word order game have higher writing skill achievement and to measure how significance word order game effect to students' writing skill achievement at the seventh grade of SMP Negeri ITlanakan .
This study is quantitative research and the design that use in this study is quasi experimental design. There are two variables in this study: the independent variable is word order game and the dependent variable is students' writing skill achievement. The population of this study is all of the seventh grade students of of SMP Negeri 1 Tlanakan. While, research instrument which are used are test and documentation.The obtained data from test was analyzed by using t-test formula.
The result showed that the students taught by using word order game have higher writing skill achievement at the seventh grade of SMP Negeri ITlanakan and the effect is statistically significant. It prove with t-value is higher than t-table in df 60 either 5% or 1% (So/o= 2.00 < 6.13) or ( lo/o= 2.65 < 6.13). df 70, t-value is
higher than t-table either in 5% or I% (5%= 2.00 < 6.13) or (I%= 2.65 < 6.13). So from the result above, it can be concluded that Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) is accepted and the Ho (Null Hypothesis) is rejected. Using word order game can help the teacher in teaching writing to make the students more active, enjoyable and able to write in the classroom.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for English Teacher to understand the students' condition in the classroom, so the English teacher can solve the students' difficulties especially in writing ability. The English teacher should have appropriate activity that is suitable with the material and students' ability.
