Most of language learners think that speaking English is
difficult. This assumption is not completely right. The language
teacher may decrease the students’ worries about language learning by
having good strategy. In this research the researcher founds that
colleagues is best for students because they feel enjoy learning
language by their friends. This strategy is known as cooperative or
collaborative. By this strategy the teacher gives chance to the students
to practice English namely English speaking skill with their friends.
So that the researcher names this strategy as colleagues.
The researcher used qualitative research approach. A-class
students of the tenth grade of senior high school in Al-Majidiyah
Palduding Plakpak were the subjects in this research. The researcher
also used descriptive qualitative research because it is to explain and
describe particular condition found on the research.
The research result showed that most of the A class students of
the tenth grade of senior high school like English learning. The
teacher did good strategy namely colleagues. In learning speaking the
students enjoyed the learning by having colleagues. So that the
colleagues give advantages to the most of the students.
By knowing the result of the research, the researcher suggests
that any strategies are useful; they depend on how the teacher uses
them. The teacher must know the students’ condition and what they
like to do in learning
