THE INFLUENCE OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING ON YOUNG LEARNERS’ ENGLISH VOCABULARY ACHIEVEMENT AT RAUDHATUL ATHFAL NURUL HIKMAH PAMEKASAN

Project Based Learning as a model in learning process is something
that make the student be active in the class and also in the real world.
Project Based Learning for the young learners’ be increase their interest in
what is being taught, strengthen their motivation to learn and make
learning experiences more relevant and meaningful. While the vocabulary
is one of important element to study english subject, because without
vocabulary the student can not study english. So, to know the vocabulary
achievement the reseacher use Project Based Learning as a model in
kindergarten.
Based on the above, there are two research problem in this
research. The first one is do Project Based Learning Influence Young
Learners’ English Vocabulary Achievement at Raudhatul Athfal Nurul
Hikmah Pamekasan. The second one is how the significance of the Project
Based Learning influence the young learners’ English Vocabulary
Achievement at Raudhatul Athfal Nurul Hikmah Pamekasan.
In this research, the reseacher used quantitative approach with preexperimental design. The population of this reseach is the total number of
B1 class at Raudhatul Athfal Nurul Hikamah Pamekasan consisting 30
young learners. The reseacher used population as sample. Research
instrument use are documentation, pre-test and post-test. The reseacher
was analyzing by using t-test formula.
The research shows, there is an influence of Project Based
Learning on Young Learners’ English Vocabulary Achievement at
Raudhatul Athfal Nurul Hikamah Pamekasan. This is proven with
compare “t” value of this research with “t” table. The “t” value is 5,810.
This value is more than “t” value of “t” table in level significance 5% and
1% with N 30. After the reseacher examine the young learners’ use pretest and post-test, the reseacher know if there is significance of the Project
Based Learning influence the young learners’ English Vocabulary
Achievement at Raudhatul Athfal Nurul Hikmah Pamekasan.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for english teacher to
improve vocabulary achievement on young learners’ by using Project
Based Learning as a model and to be creative teacher in teaching learning
strategy, while the young learner should be actively use the vocabulary in
dailylife so that the young learners be easier to memorize vocabularies.
