THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CONCENTRATION GAME ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING VOCABULARY AT THE EIGHTH GRADE OF MTS HIDAYATUN NAJAH SAMIRAN PAMEKASAN

In teaching English there are “four skills” There are listening, speaking,
reading, and writing. The students will get easy in learning of all the skills if they
can master some vocabularies, because vocabulary will support the learning of
language skill development. To help the learners easier in memorizes the
vocabulary, the teacher can use a game to make the students fun, because the fun
factor can help word more memorable.
There are two problems of the study in this research, the first how does the
teacher implement of concentration game and the second what are the advantages
and disadvantages of the implementation of concentration game on students’
learning vocabulary at eight grade of MTs Hidayatun Najah samiran pamekasan
This reseach uses descriptive qualitative. The data mostly gathered from the
observation, interview, and docummentation. The number of students twenty four
students. The data analysis that is used by the reseacher are data reduction, data
display, and conclusion drawing or verification. To check data validity, the
researcher uses triangulation of data source and triangulation of technique.
The result of the research will be presented by English teacher that
implemented concentration game, next the teacher implemented the concentration
in different technique to collect the vocabulary in every meeting. The student’s
responses are happy and active when in the class.There are some advantages and
disadvantages in implemented of the concentration game.
According to the research above, the researcher suggests that the English
teacher to use many game in teaching English especially vocabulary. By use
games, students will be interest and they can motivate to learning of vocabulary,
should prepare before going to teach.
