THE COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE BETWEEN CERTIFICATED ENGLISH TEACHERS AND NON CERTIFICATED ENGLISH TEACHERS AT KKM 2 OMBEN SAMPANG

Teacher has various meaning, it can be defined as people who deliver
knowledge to the students who have many strategies in conveying knowledge to
their students, it clarified by Bruce Joyce that teacher has storehouse of models
they draw upon to teach students to think. It means teachers that someone who
transfers knowledge to the students. As the teacher must understand the
characteristic of the students, make the students are more active and attractive.
The certificated English teachers has been through the process of quality
improvement in teaching learning in order to perform continually improving and
keep qualified professionals.
In this research, the researcher uses quantitative research. This research uses
ex-post facto design because the researcher wants to compare the professional
competence of certificated English teachers and non certificated English teachers
in teaching learning process.
The population that will be researched is the certificated English teachers
and non certificated English teachers of KKM 2 Omben to gather the data. The
researcher selects sevent of certificated English teachers and sevent of noncertificated English teachers. Two kinds of research instruments were utilized to
obtain the data, there were observational checklist and documentation. The data
were analyzed by using inferential analysis, namely alpha cronbach.
The research result reveals that there is significant difference professional
competence between certificated English teachers and non certificated English
teachers at KKM Omben Sampang. It is shown in data analysis t-value of 2,241is
significantly higher than t-table on the significant level 5% that is only 2.18.
