Language is a set of rules that used by human as a tool of their communication. Writing is an important part of language learning. Therefore, studying foreign language is a hard effort and make the students themselves get frustation. It is essentially a reflective activity that requires enough time to think about the specific topic, to analyze and classify any background knowledge. Prounciation is one of difficulties in mastering the foreign language, it shows many differences between the students’ mother tongue and the foreign language itself. we know that every language has different style, it can be seen from how to pronounce the words,
The phenomenon which happens to the students is that there are many English students who can not produce English well. It means that they can not pronounce the English words well. When they pronounce English words but they are not using appropriate pronunciation, what they are talking and telling to the interlocutor will not be understood. To make the interlocutor understand about what they are speaking, the students should have a good pronuciation mastery.
While, the research problems There are two kinds of research focuses in this study. The first How is the students’ pronunciation erros at MA Nurul Rahmah Larangan Selampar and the second What are the factors influencing the students’ pronunciation errors at MA Nurul Rahmah Larangan Selampar.
This research use qualitative approach and uses discriptive research as kind of research because this research will focus mainly on students’ pronunciation errors. in collecting data, the researcher uses non participants observation, types of interview that is used by the researcher is structure interview and documentation.
Based on the result of the researcher’s observation, documentation and interview that the Descriptive Analysis of English Pronunciation Errors at MA Nurul Rahmah Larangan Selampar Pamekasan , The researcher conducts pre-research to know the situation and condition that happened in the class when the teaching learning are running. In the pre-research researcher observe the subject in the school and the researcher used structural observation because the subject has different lesson in the school. The result of this research showed when the teacher explain the material in the teaching learning process. The researcher got some errors in vowel and consonant pronunciation. Unfortunetly, the teacher correct the students’ pronunciation erros because the students did not know and understand about English. Some error that made by the teacher are influenced by interlingual and intralingual transfer. It is because the teacher influenced by first language and the teacher unsuccesfull learning in second language acquisation.
From the statement above, the researcher concludes that the students made some pronunciation error. the errors are in vowel and consonant pronunciation. The pronunciation errors because the students are influenced by intralingal transfer and interlingual transfer.
finally, this study is expected to be useful for the reader and future researcher. The researcher believed that this thesis is far from being perfect. So the researcher will accept good suggestions and constructive criticism to make this thesis perfect. The reseacher also hopes that the thesis will be useful and contibute some valuable thing to the reseacher herself and all readers the general.
