This research focuss are (1) how daes student ability in presenting
descriptive text at the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Galis (2) what are The
factors influence students in presenting english descriptive text at the tenth
grade students of SMAN 1 Galis. .
In this case, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The researcher
got the data from the interview, observation and documentation. The number of
students at the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Galis is thirty two students. The data
analysis that the researcher used are data reduction, data display and
Conclusion drawing/ verification. To check thevalidity of data, the researcher
used triangulation of source, triangualation of place and triangulation of time.
The result of this research showed when the teacher explain descriptive
material using interesting media, the students are interested in learning well.
The teacher ask some students to came forward to presented descriptive
material, then other students ask to presented ahead. This method can help
them to be brave in joining the lesson. So, they can be easier to comprehend
the material.
In this study, the researcher suggests that teacher have to should
emphasize the students to be active and feel confidence in front of the class. In
this case, the teacher should give more opportunity to the students to express
their idea and the teacher should make English become communication
language in the teaching learning process.
