Test is an important part in every teaching and learning experience.
The teacher can also measure what the students get in learning
process, whether the students aquire the knowledge as the teacher
hope, Or may be the opposite one. Based on this context, the test is
very important, without the test learning process is as vegetable
without the salt. So that in every teaching learning process the teacher
always gives the test for the students. In the daily test especially the
test made by teacher, the drafting team that is from schools at SMPN
1 Galis Pamekasan make the test, and because of there are some
different compilers from any schools, the test may be not valid
especially in construct validity.
There is a problem of study in this research; What is the test in
English daily test of the first semester in 2016/2017 school year which
is made by teacher and used in Junior High School 1 Galis Pamekasan
for the seventh grade valid based on construct validity theory.
The researcher used descriptive qualitative. The object of this study
is the test made by the English teacher. Meanwhile, the data is
collected from the observation, interviewand documentation. To
analyze the data, the researcher used data reduction, data display and
conclussion drawing. Moreover, to check the validity of data, the
researcher used triangulation that is methodological
triangulation. While analyzing the construct validity of the daily test
made by teacher, the researcher did not find a question that is not valid
based on construct validity theory. The text all of that question is
valid.
As the result, the researcher concluded that no one question that is
not valid based on construct validity theory. And in making a test, the
compilers of the test must notice not only the suitability of the text in
the question, but also the question it self.
