THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MODELLING THE WAY MODEL FOR STUDENT’S SPEAKING SKILL AT ELEVENTH GRADE OF M.A AL-FALAH TLANAKAN PAMEKASAN

Speaking is an interactive process of constructing meaning that involves
producing and receiving information. Speaking is the most important skill of four
skills that must be learned in English subject, because in teaching learning
process, the students need to communicate with the teacher and other students. So,
the teacher must be creative to determine a good learning model, because the
successful teaching learning process depends on how the teacher chooses a good
learning model, especially in teaching speaking skill. One of learning model that
has been implemented is Modelling the way model at eleventh grade of M.A AlFalah Tlanakan Pamekasan.
There are three research focuses of this research. The first, How the
implementation of Modelling the Way Model for student's speaking skill at
eleventh grade of M.A Al-Falah Tlanakan Pamekasan. The second, How
Modelling the way can help the student's speaking skill at eleventh grade of M.A
Al-Falah Tlanakan Pamekasan. The last, What are the difficulties faced by
English teacher and the students in the implementation of Modelling the way
Model for student's speaking skill at eleventh grade of M.A Al-Falah Tlanakan
Pamekasan.
In this research used qualitative research. It is descriptive research. To
collect the data the researcher uses some collecting data procedures. Those are
interview, observation and documentation. The data analyses used by researcher
are data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification. To check the validity
of data the researcher used triangulation technique.
The result of this research showed when the teacher implements Modelling
the Way Model in teaching speaking skill, the students interested and enjoyed in
the learning activity. The teacher asked the students to make a scenario about
general situation related the material and demonstrate their scenario in front of the
class. In this case, the students increased their speaking skill by using interesting
model. The teacher's difficulty is when the students did not understand with the
teacher's explanation by using English language. While, the students difficulties
are because they lack of vocabularies, pronunciation's error and felt shy and
nervous when they tried to modeling in front of the class. But by the teacher's
motivation and the teacher's guidance the students can solved their problem.
From the statement above the researcher conclude that this learning model
helped the students to practice their speaking through demonstration. The
researcher suggested that the teacher must improved the student's speaking skill
by using modeling the way model. It made classroom more interesting and the
students more active in the class
